Science Center alligator, Lucy predicts the winner of ‘The Big Game’
Once again, we are letting a Science Center animal predict who will win The Big Game on Sunday, February, 11th! This year we are passing the torch to Lucy the American Alligator. Lucy will be giving her prediction of the winner on Saturday, February 10th at 11 AM in the Land to Sea exhibit which resides in our Aquarium & Planetarium Building. Our senior animal care specialist, Alyssa, will be talking a bit about American Alligators, and how our gator came to the Catawba Science Center! Alyssa has been working with Lucy to “choose the winner” by taking food from a target. The target has two sides with the Chiefs represented on one, and the 49ers on the other. Both sides will have food attached for Lucy to eat. Whichever one she grabs first will be her official “prediction”. If you can’t watch the prediction in person we welcome you to watch our live stream on Facebook. Follow us @CatawbaScienceCenter to receive a notification when we go live. We hope to see you then!
The Catawba Science Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. For more information visit www. catawbascience.org.
