Bennett Funeral Service announces new Aftercare Director
Bennett Funeral Service is pleased to announce the recent addition of Sherry Jones as aftercare director. Robbie Bennett stated,” Rhonda and I are honored to have Sherry join our team. She comes to us with forty years of experience in the funeral industry.”
Sherry was inspired by her mother, Frances Jones who worked in sales in the funeral industry. At the age of fifteen, she was hired to be a receptionist at the same cemetery where her mother worked. It was then Sherry knew she was destined for a career in funeral work. Her background in the funeral service industry includes working as general manager for cemeteries in Charlotte and Lincolnton. Jones said, “Funeral work has been a calling for me. I am thrilled to be a member of the Bennett Funeral Service family. They are family-owned and have an excellent reputation in the community. People matter to Bennetts. These qualities are the reason I decided to go to work with them.”
Ms. Jones is the daughter of Frances Jones and the late Curtis Jones; she grew up in Charlotte, went to Independence High School, and currently resides in Mooresville with her dog, Sawyer, and cat, Sadie. She is a member of Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her roses and working in her yard.
