Berdych has competed in 59 straight ATP Masters 1000 events since 2010 and will pursue his first title in Miami after a quarterfinal loss in 2016 to Novak Djokovic. After finishing the year ranked No. 10, he secured his seventh straight season inside the top 10 and 11th straight in the top 20 (06-16). With a win in Shenzhen last year, Berdych notched his 13th career singles title. In addition, he advanced to the semifinals of Wimbledon and quarterfinals of both the Australian and the French. He was a member of the 2016 Czech Republic Davis Cup team and earned his 50th career win for his country. Berdych hopes to capture his 2nd career ATP Masters 1000 title this year in Miami.
