LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER
Another March, another Winter Music Conference, Ultra, and Miami Open for the books. And while we’ve said sayonara to the accompanying megastars (we’ll see you next year, Roger Federer and Carl Cox), don’t close up your calendars just yet, because the Magic City is about to get even hotter.
That’s because some of the biggest names in country music are making their way to the sands of Fort Lauderdale for the fifth annual Tortuga Music Festival. From April 7 to 9, you’ll be serenaded by chart-topping country crooners like Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, and so many more. Talk about fun in the sun. And for all the baseball fans out there, be sure to get your tickets to witness our Miami Marlins take on the Atlanta Braves in the home opener on April 11.
If kicking back and relaxing is more your thing, there’s no better way to unwind (and celebrate Earth Month) than on the sands of our beautiful beaches, which attract people from across the globe. And while you’re lounging by the water, make sure you have a copy of this issue (and perhaps a cocktail) in hand to get the latest on our cover star: actor, author, and activist Joe Manganiello. When he’s not starring in major films like Magic Mike or this month’s Smurfs: The Lost Village, he’s dedicating his time to a variety of nonprofits and enjoying married life with the irresistible and hilarious Modern Family star Sofia Vergara. We’re honored to be able to share his story with you this month.
So whether you nosh on hot dogs at the ballpark, dance all day and into the night to top country tunes, or lounge by the beach, I hope you take a few days (maybe even the entire month) to explore our marvelous city. I know I certainly will.
I hope to see you around town…
