Ar­chi­tec­tural columns true to clas­si­cal or­ders are still made in wood, and in mod­ern ma­te­ri­als.

Columns for five clas­si­cal or­ders are avail­able in var­i­ous wood species, the PolyS­tone® fiber­glass com­pos­ite, and polyester resin. Ta­pered “bun­ga­low-era” columns are also sold. Cap­i­tals may be cast resin, cast plas­ter, carved wood, or polyuretha­ne.
