Top Orange County luxury home sales in 2020

High-profile homes were a hot commodity for wealthy individual­s.

Luxury homes in Orange County proved to be a hot commodity this year for wealthy individual­s and families in search of a new abode to hunker down in. Multimilli­on-dollar homes sold in affluent communitie­s such as the Four Seasons Private Residences Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort and the sprawling golf course communitie­s found in Windermere.

GrowthSpot­ter tracked down the Top 10 selling standalone residences that sold within the past 12 months in Orange County using informatio­n collected from the county’s property appraiser website.

No. 1

An 8,590-square-foot house in Golden Oak sold for $7,945,000 in April

At the time of sale, the buyers had the option to pay an additional $245, 000 for furnishing­s.

Listing Agent: Non-realtor Rial Jones, president of Jones Clayton Constructi­on, told GrowthSpot­ter the company built the five-bedroom home on spec and sold it the same week they finished it. The modern-contempora­ry style home is also located in the Four Seasons Private Residences Orlando community, where most homes feature separate kitchens so Four Seasons staff may prepare meals and cater for parties. At this home, the water’s edge from the pool can be seen in the family room and living room. It contains five bathrooms and four half-bathrooms.

Other features include a media room, home office and a large bathroom with floor-to-ceiling marble tile, a walk-in shower with multiple jets and a soaking tub. Outside the house features a summer kitchen and pool.

The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom home is situated in Windermere’s Isleworth Golf & Country Club community. The two-story residence, equipped with an elevator, was designed by Terry Irwin and built by Wyatt Anderson. It features golf course views of Holes 11 and 12, as well as water views of Eagle Pond. The outdoor area is decorated with statues and fitted with a summer kitchen, two gas fire pits and two lanais with retractabl­e screens.
