Where to get COVID-19 vaccine across Central Florida

- By Kate Santich and John Cutter

The Orange County Convention Center, one of the region’s largest COVID-19 vaccination sites, offers its final first doses of the Pfizer shot on Saturday as it prepares to close altogether at the end of May.

Orange, like several counties in Central Florida, is shifting its vaccination strategy as demand for the shots drops. Look for more one- and two-day walk-up and drive-through vaccine clinics instead.

All Florida residents 16 and older are eligible for the Pfizer shot, although 16- and 17-yearoldsmustbeaccompaniedbyaparentorguardian or have a signed consent form — or both. All Florida residents 18 and over can receive the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

There’s also a statewide email address for home-bound seniors to register to have the COVID-19 vaccine brought directly to them. Torequestvaccination,emailHomeboundVaccine@em.myflorida.comorcall1-866-779-6121.

We have compiled a list of vaccination sites across Central Florida that will be updated frequently. (Latest update: May 1.)

Anyone seeking a vaccination will need to show a valid Florida driver’s license or Florida identification card or any two of the following: „ A deed, mortgage, monthly mortgage statement, mortgagepaymentbookletorresidential rental or lease agreement.

„ A utility hookup or work order that is not more than 2 months old or a utility bill that is not more than 2 months old.

„ Mail from a bank or other financial institution — including checking, savings, or investment account statements — that is not more than 2 months old.

„ Mailfromagovernmentagency, suchasatax bill showing a Florida address, that is not more than 2 months old.

Caution: Beware of scams. Do not fill out Eventbrite vaccine registration forms unless they are provided through a county’s website or the links in this list, and do not register for a vaccination appointment that requires payment. However, many providers ask for insurance information if you have coverage.
