Braille calendars available: The Braille Associatio­n of Mid-Florida offers 2022 calendars embossed in Braille. The calendar highlights holidays and includes embossed illustrati­ons with a unique theme. For those sending one as a gift, their name and a short personal note written by them will be embossed in Braille and sent with the calendar. Christmas in the Park: The Morse Museum of American Art will light Central Park with century-old Tiffany windows from its renowned collection at the 43rd annual Christmas in the Park. The leaded-glass windows set the stage for a performanc­e of seasonal favorites by the Bach Festival Society Choir. Youth and Family Photo Field Trip:

Presented by the Orange Audubon Society. Led by nature photograph­ers Cindy Monell (retired elementary teacher) and Lee Ann Posavad (a grandmothe­r) who both like teaching kids how to get better shots. Techniques for Successful Nature Photograph­y Workshop: Presented by the Orange Audubon Society. Nature photograph­er, artist and naturalist Reinier Munguia will teach a two-part photo workshop Dec. 4-5. Saturday afternoon will be indoors at Wekiwa Springs State Park Youth Camp. Sunday morning will be a field trip on the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive to practice techniques learned. Fee is $75, which includes a box lunch Sunday. Park entrance fee of $6 for 2-8 people. Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade: Winter Park’s 69th annual parade will showcase holiday-themed floats, Santa Claus and wellknown local figures as they make their way down the avenue. Holiday Pops concert:

The North Shore Birding Festival: Sponsored by Orange Audubon Society, the five-day event (Dec. 2-6) will allow participan­ts to learn from well-known, knowledgea­ble birding guides. The festival’s 50 trips include youth and family trips and those targeting college students. Many of the trips and workshops target photograph­ers. Each trip starts at its field location or the McDonald Canal area in Mount Dora. Trips range in price from $10 for youth registrati­on to $75 for an all-day trip with lunch. Friday and Saturday nights keynotes with dinner will be held at the Wekiwa Springs State Park Youth Camp, followed by owl and star walks. All proceeds benefit Orange Audubon Society’s nature and environmen­tal education center fund or related educationa­l programs. Pine Castle Woman’s Club: Members and guests will sing their all-time holiday tunes. The Club will be bringing monetary donations for the Russell Home for Atypical Children, one of their mission support organizati­ons.
