Georgetown signee led Highlander­s to 18-2 record and FHSAA Class 1A state championsh­ip. The midfielder finished with team highs in goals scored (50) and ground balls (38) and ranked second in draw controls (44) and total points (62). Jaskiewicz, a Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Lacrosse finalist, scored 31 goals over Lake Highland’s last nine games during district, regional and state tournament­s. The Highlander­s rounded out their season with 13 wins in a row vs. the

third-toughest strength of schedule in state, according to FHSAA power ratings.

All-Area athletes AVERY ANDERSON Oviedo, junior

Buzz:

Aggressive at both ends of the field, the midfielder controlled 162 draws for Lions and finished with 132 points on 82 goals scored and 50 assists.

RILEY FINNEGAN Oviedo, senior Buzz:

Described as the emotional heart of the team, Finnegan went 16-4 in goal with 121 saves as Lions reached Class 2A regional semifinal round.

IZZY HUGHES

Lake Highland Prep, sophomore Buzz:

Midfielder led Class 1A state champions in draw controls (70) while finishing second on team in ground balls (37) and third in goals scored (41).

HAYLEY LOUNSBERRY Lake Brantley, junior Buzz:

All-around leader finished second on team with 64 goals and 21 assists for 85 points. Also won 24 ground balls and 64 draw controls.

CHARLEE NYQUIST Lake Mary, sophomore Buzz:

A consistent threat as a scorer and passer, Nyquist tallied 57 goals and 86 assists for 143 points for Rams, who finished 14-6.

LAUREN PITTMAN Lake Highland Prep, senior Buzz:

Pittman led state champions in total points (79) while finishing with 42 goals and 37 assists, and also ranked third in ground balls (28) and draws (42).

JENNA SKIBBE Lake Mary, junior Buzz:

Did a little of everything as Rams’ midfielder while finishing with 97 goals, 24 assists (121 points), 135 draw controls and 47 ground balls.

HANNAH THOMAS Hagerty, senior Buzz:

Midfielder helped Huskies reach Class 2A region final round while scoring 74 goals and finishing with 40 draw controls and 21 ground balls.

GENTRY WELCH Lake Minneola, junior Buzz:

Backbone for team that won its first district title, the midfielder finished with 61 goals scored, 33 assists, 47 ground balls and 43 draw controls.

ELLIE WILKINS Hagerty, sophomore Buzz:

Team’s leading attacker scored 61 goals and secured 39 ground balls as Huskies won 11 of their last 13 games to finish with a 16-7 record.
