Guy Jackson “Jack” Loudermilk, 90, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024, in Palm Coast, and is now with his Lord in heaven. He was born on December 15, 1933 in Jacksonvil­le, FL to Guy Loudermilk and Jennie Bridges Loudermilk. As a young boy, Jack stayed busy delivering newspapers before school and worked as a lifeguard at Jacksonvil­le Beach every summer during high school. At age 17, he became one of the youngest Eagle Scouts in the state of Florida. While attending The University of Florida-Gainesvill­e, he was on the swim team for the fighting Gators and served as President of Sigma Chi fraternity. He also met the love of his life, Dorothy Posey Beyer, and they married in June, 1956 following graduation. After serving in the Army in Columbia, SC, Jack and Dottie moved to Daytona Beach, FL where Jack began a career in banking. In June, 1970, Jack, Dottie, and their 3 children moved to Winter Park, FL where they would spend the next 27 years, and where Jack would continue in and eventually retire from his career in banking. The names of a few of the banks that Jack was either executive vice president or president of are Barnett Bank, Winter Park National Bank, and Bank First. Jack served as president of the Chamber of Commerce for 2 years. He also served on the Board of Directors of Winter Park Hospital. He participat­ed faithfully in Kiwanis and the Rotary Club for several years. Jack and his family were members of and attended All Saints Church, Winter Park, and Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Winter Park. Jack and Dottie enjoyed Friday Night Football games at Showalter Field to watch the Winter Park Wildcats, as all three of their children attended and graduated from Winter Park High School. Jack is survived by his wife, Dottie Beyer; of 67 years; his children: Beth Porter-Harris (Kevin); Tom Loudermilk (Carolyn); and Ann Dotson (Jim); his grandchild­ren: Joshua (Marian); Meredith; Brianne (Patrick); Bryce (fiancé-Louise); Brandon (fiancé-Bella); Hillary (Matt); Bennett (Raegen); Hunter (Haley); Aselya; 4 great grandchild­ren and 3 soon expected great grandchild­ren; his brother, Rick Loudermilk, and sister, Jennie Loudermilk, his niece, Darlene Pipkin-Brown, and other nieces and nephews also. Jack is preceded in death by his father and mother, Guy and Jennie Loudermilk, and two sisters, Doris Pipkin and Ann Elmore. Family and friends will gather for a service of Resurrecti­on Liturgy in the chapel of All Saints Episcopal Church of Winter Park, 338 East Lyman Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789 on Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. The family is grateful for and wishes to thank the staff at Advent Health Hospice, Palm Coast, and the staff at Brookdale Senior Living in Palm Coast, who cared so well for Jack during the last few months of his life. It is suggested that donations be made to either organizati­on. The family of Mr. Loudermilk entrusted his arrangemen­ts to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
