Convict in Orange jail 31st time — not counting juvenile arrests
Leonon Davis landed back in jail this week for the 31st time in Orange County — not counting juvenile arrests.
The 29-year-old, who has “The World is Mine” tattooed on his right arm, has already served three terms in prison for attacking police, drug possession, burglary and stealing a car, records show.
His latest arrest happened Monday when he was charged with running from Orlando police while armed with a handgun and carrying a bag of crack cocaine.
They chased him to an apartment on West Jackson Street where he broke in and tried disguising himself by changing his purple shirt to a black one, records show.
One of the officers saw him drop a .38-caliber revolver on the living-room floor, records state.
A search found three more guns and a plastic container filled with baggies of cocaine.
The residents told police they had called Davis and hired him to drive them to a Wal-Mart store.
And they said they never saw the guns or cocaine before, records state.
Davis was charged with armed burglary of a dwelling, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of cocaine and marijuana and resisting arrest, records show.
He remains held without bail and faces an arrest warrant for a home invasion in Hillsborough County.
