Two people are dead after a “suspicious” mobile-home in Kissimmee Saturday morning, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the fire on Primero Drive in the Siesta Lago Mobile Home Park about 6 a.m., sheriff ’s office spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain said.

A man was found dead inside the mobile home, Lizasuain said.

A woman with critical injuries was also found inside the home; she was taken to a hospital where she died a short time later, officials said.

Their identities have not been released.

“The fire left significant damage inside the home. It was virtually completely dest roye d ,” Lizasuain said. “When we were investigating we found evidence that led us to believe the fire was suspicious. We are continuing to investigate both the fire and deaths.”

The mobile-home park is located just off West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

Deputies used patrol vehicles and crime scene tape to block off most of Primero Drive.

The wooden home had a broken window along with burnt material on the porch.

Wilfredo Benjamin, 45, lives just down the road from the home. He said he’s lived in the park for four years with his family and hasn’t seen much crime.

“It’s a very large community so we’ll have a fire or see cop cars on occasion but nothing like this ...,” he said. “I do get worried with all the cars I see driving through our complex.”

Andrew Cottrell, 22, moved into the mobile-home park about four months ago. He said the community is a mix of ages and cultures.

“We don’t see a whole lot of crime but like most neighborhoods we have some drugs and people who use in the area,” he said. “For the most part, though, it’s pretty quiet. I work a lot so I like that it’s pretty quiet. I was surprised to see all this going on.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crimeline at 407-423-8477.
