Police: Club attack, fatal shooting linked

Investigators say a fatal shooting outside a gas station in west Orange County early Sunday appears to be related to an earlier shooting outside a downtown Orlando nightclub. LaDravious Bass, 20, was killed in the shooting at the 7-Eleven on Old Winter Garden Road near Kirkman Road, according to the Orange County Sheriff ’s Office. He was lying on the ground when deputies arrived just before 3 a.m. A woman, whose name hasn’t been released, also was shot. Bass died at the scene. Emergency crews took the woman to a local hospital in stable condition. About half an hour earlier, police were called to reports of shots fired near Venue 578 at Orange Avenue and Concord Street. Parking lot attendants reported hearing gunshots nearby after the club closed. People scattered, and police found three victims about a block north on Garland Avenue, just south of Colonial Drive.
