Face-biting suspect regains consciousness

WEST PALM BEACH — Investigators say that a Florida college student accused of killing a couple and biting the dead husband’s face has regained consciousness, but he has not given a statement. The Florida State University student had been heavily sedated since the Aug. 15 stabbings of John Stevens and Michelle Mishcon outside their home in Martin County. Sheriff William Snyder says the former high school football player and wrestler, 19, will be charged with murder once he is released from the hospital.
