Brantley beats Boone

Senior quarterback Marcus Dequattro led Lake Brantley with 181 rushing yards and the Patriots (1-0) defeated Boone 45-21 by scoring 31 second-half points.

Dequattro was 3-of-6 passing for an additional 40 yards. He found the end zone three times, twice through the air and once on a 31-yard fourth-quarter keeper.

Boone running back Brandon Bush tied the game at 14 with a TD in the second quarter. But Dequattro found C.D. Dennison for a 13-yard TD pass as the Patriots regained momentum for good in the second half.

Brantley senior Trace Christian gained 111 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

Boone senior quarterback Darius Jackson completed 13 of 25 passes for 154 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
