Winter Springs in 2 OTs

Winter Springs (1-0) overcame a two-score deficit and pulled out a 34-27 double-overtime win over Freedom.

Marcell Mitchell, who rushed for 174 yards on 26 carries, scored the winning touchdown in the second OT.

The host Bears trailed 12-0 but turned the game around with a 60-yard TD drive and a pick-six by Antyjuan Rodriquez. Another scoring drive, covering 51 yards, gave the Bears a 21-12 lead.. Freedom junior Dequan Tate returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for his third TD of the night and the Patriots tied the game 21-21 late in the fourth quarter on a field goal.
