The family of a man killed after falling off the Sky Trail attraction at Artegon in 2014 has settled its lawsuit against the mall and attractions companies.

Penelope Belvoir sued shortly after her father Robert, 52, died on Christmas Eve 2014 after falling 30 feet from the ropes-course attraction at the Orlando shopping center.

Details of the settlement were confidential, according to a representative for Penelope Belvoir’s attorney Mark Nation. Artegon Marketplace declined to comment. Ropes Courses Inc. and Sky Trail LLC, the companies that built and run the attraction, did not return requests for comment.

The lawsuit claimed the track and harness on the Sky Trail course were defective and the company didn’t follow safety standards.

The attraction was temporarily closed after the accident, but reopened a few weeks later. It is still operating.
