Mac Sabbath

- Trevor Fraser

WHAT: If you think puns are best served by going way too far, then Mac Sabbath is the band for you. Answering the question “What if Tony Iommi’s head were a hamburger,” this parody group out of Los Angeles performs the classic rock of British metal innovators Black Sabbath. But instead of anthems about war and mental illness, all of Mac’s songs are about beef and fryers. The joke continues to the costumes. Ronald Osbourne, Slayer MacCheeze, Grimalice and Catburglar all dress as commercial icons for a certain fast-food chain that is apparently less litigious than you would think. For a Halloween show, this band promises to be fun on a bun. WHEN: 8 p.m. Monday, with American Party Machine WHERE: The Abbey, 100 S. Eola Drive, Orlando COST: $15 in advance, $18 at the event CALL: 407-704-6261 ONLINE: abbeyorlando.com
