Bottom feeders

This general-election campaign year has been so divisive and so ugly in so many ways and on so many levels.

It reveals that politicians and the media, from our commander in chief down to local county and city government officials, and from the top news networks and newspapers to the local ones, are today’s bottom feeders — instigators and catalysts bringing out the very worst in us.

What will we do now that we can no longer ignore this fact?

Future generations of Americans will either suffer from our failure to deal with these insidious elements of our society or benefit from our courage and resolve to fix them. Charles Sitero Ormond Beach
