DP drubs Cypress Creek

Marvin Washington threw five first-half touchdown passes and the Dr. Phillips defense added two more scores as the 8A-5 champion Panthers (7-2, 4-0) rolled to a 63-3 win over Cypress Creek (3-5, 1-3).

Washington completed 8 of 13 passes for 168 yards in the first half, leading DP into the end zone on five straight series.

The Panthers have won 36 consecutive district games.

The defense got into the act when Henry Caldwell and Marcus Tillman each returned fumbles for touchdowns.
