A little locomotive fun
Who doesn’t love model trains? See 21 scale miles of track, diesel and steam locomotives, detailed, lighted cities, industrial complexes, mountains and a riverfront with ships and docks at a model railroad open house. The free event, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is at 2500 Silver Star Road, Ste. 1700, Orlando. 407-417-1096.
♦A Day in Florida History: Highlights include living history and period craft demonstrations representing various periods of Florida’s history from early Native Americans through the 1900s. There will be live music, antique tractors, and displays from local museums and historical societies. ♦Remote controlled model air show: See world class scale model aircraft, propeller and turbojet models flown by top gun pilots. Sponsored by the Remote Control Association of Central Florida.
