Minnesota nets first MLS win

MINNEAPOLI­S — Christian Ramirez scored twice in the second half as Minnesota United came from behind to beat Real Salt Lake 4-2 on Saturday and earn the franchise its first win in MLS.

Luke Mulholland put Real Salt Lake ahead with a goal after just four minutes but Kevin Molino equalized in the 16th minute as the teams went to the break level at 1-1. Ramirez gave Minnesota United the lead in the 52nd minute then added a second 10 minutes later. Johan Venegas made it 4-1 after 68 minutes before Real Salt Lake pulled one back through Yura Movsisyan three minutes from the end.

Bastian Schweinste­iger capped his MLS debut with a brilliantl­y taken first-half goal to help the Chicago snatch a dramatic draw with Montreal.

Erick Torres completed a hat-trick as Houston beat the New York Red Bulls.
