Jaguars not ready for prime time

The Jaguars’ regular season schedule, announced Thursday, includes a Week 1 road game for the first time since 2014, a closing road game for the sixth straight year and no prime-time games for the first time in franchise history.

The schedule is not kind to the Jaguars, who play only two true home games in the first eight weeks under new coach Doug Marrone.

The Jaguars’ nine consecutiv­e non-winning seasons is tied for secondlong­est in the NFL with Cleveland and ahead of the Los Angeles Rams (13).

Here’s a look at the schedule:

At Houston, Sept. 10.

Jalen Ramsey and DeAndre Hopkins renew their rivalry and the Jaguars’ A.J. Bouye faces former team.

Tennessee, Sunday, Sept. 17.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota’s last trip to Jacksonvil­le ended a broken ankle in 38-17 loss to Jaguars.

Baltimore, Sunday, Sept. 24 (London).

The Jaguars’ fifth game at Wembley Stadium will be the Ravens’ first trip overseas.

At N.Y. Jets, Sunday, Oct. 1. Sunday,

First time Jaguars are playing post-London Week and surprising­ly, it’s a road trip to the Meadowland­s.

At Pittsburgh, Sunday, Oct. 8.

Heinz Field is site of the Jaguars’ last postseason victory in, gulp, January 2008.

L.A. Rams, Sunday, Oct. 15.

The Jaguars’ only game in Jacksonvil­le between Sept. 17 and Nov. 5 is against Aaron Donald-led defense.

At Indianapol­is, Sunday, Oct. 22.

Colts QB Andrew Luck is 6-2 all-time against the Jaguars with 14 touchdowns and five intercepti­ons.

Cincinnati, Sunday, Nov. 5.

Following Week 8 bye, the Jaguars start stretch of five home games in seven weeks.

L.A. Chargers, Nov. 12.

It is Gus Bradley Week as the Jaguars coachturne­d-Chargers defensive coordinato­r faces old team.

At Cleveland, Sunday, Nov. 19.

The Jaguars beat the Browns in 2013 (in Cleveland) and ’14 (in Jacksonvil­le). Weather could be dicey.

At Arizona, Sunday, Nov. 26.

New DE Calais Campbell returns to Phoenix, where he played first nine years of career (56 sacks).

Indianapol­is, Dec. 3.

Indianapol­is returns to EverBank Field after playing its road game against Jaguars last year in London. Seattle, Sunday, Dec. 10. In last meeting (2013), the Seahawks were a 20-point favorite and won 45-17, part of Jaguars’ 0-8 start.

Houston, 17.

Texans coach Bill O’Brien has never lost to the Jaguars – 6-0 with a 9.8-point average margin of victory.

As San Francisco, Sunday, Dec. 24.

The Jaguars will make first visit to the three-year old Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara … on Christmas Eve.

At Tennessee, Sunday, Dec. 31.

Jaguars close the season on the road for the sixth straight year at a division rival (0-5 record). Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, Dec.
