Accesso Technology Group will build a ticketing and ecommerce platform for a theme-park group in Mexico, a move that also gives the tech company a firm grip on the largest private bus system in that nation.

The Lake Mary-based company, which already counts Daytona International Speedway’s parent company and Six Flags as clients, announced this week that it had landed Experiencias Xcaret.

The 27-year-old Mexican theme park company operates seven locations in areas including Cancun and Riviera Maya. The deal marks the first time the company has brought its cloud-based ticketing software into Mexico.

Previously, accesso had landed Mexican clients for its point-of-sale hardware.

“The best way to expand into new markets is to sell a product there so you have existing customers that can attest to its quality,” said Dennis Pape, who trains entrepreneurs at a business incubator in Orlando. “That’s how you acquire new customers.”

Accesso has been growing in Central Florida, with 170 of its 360 global employees here. That’s about a 27 percent jump in Orlando employees since November 2015, when the company employed 134 here.

Experiencias theme parks see 3.5 million customers per year, according to data shared by the company in a news release.

In addition to theme-park technology, Experiencias will also apply accesso’s products to coordinate transportation between sites through its bus system, which the release called the largest private bus system in Mexico.

“By partnering with accesso, we can streamline our operations and ensure that our guests enjoy an unforgettable, seamless experience from the moment they arrive,” said Dagoberto Hernandez, the park’s director of technology, in the release.

Experiencias has agreed to use accesso’s software to coordinate transportation between theme parks, retail, food and beverage, access control and rentals.

Accesso’s platform will also help the theme park coordinate and organize its gift card systems. More than 1,000 attractions use accesso right now, according to the release.
