Florida theaters have updated their performance lineups.

Several theaters have made changes to previously announced lineups of shows. Here’s a quick rundown to get you up to speed.

Garden Theatre

The Garden Theatre in Winter Garden had planned to host two intriguing productions that combined dance, fashion and projections. One, a tribute to Audrey Hepburn, was scheduled to open this Thursday. A second show, “Hitchcock: Master of Suspense,” was to take place in August.

Both shows have been canceled, for now.

“The production company for the shows determined they needed more time to execute the vision of this unique art form,” wrote Garden spokeswoman Janet Haddock in an email.

In place of the two programs, the Garden will show movie marathons featuring Hepburn and Hitchcock works. For more information, go to garden theatre.org or call 407-877-4736.

Mad Cow Theatre

Mad Cow Theatre’s production of “Skylight,” which was to have opened Friday night, will now open Thursday. An actor withdrew from the production to attend to personal issues, the theater says, requiring a last-minute cast change.

Starring in the production will be New York-based actor Kelly Pekar, Zach Lane of Orlando and Jerome Davis, the replacement cast member. Davis is the founding artistic director of Burning Coal Theatre Company in North Carolina.

Bobbie Bell is directing “Skylight,” which will run through July 9. For more information, go to mad cowtheatre.org or call 407-297-8788.

Bay Street Players

The Bay Street Players, who perform at the State Theatre in Eustis, have a new managing artistic director. Dennis W. Gleason has taken up the post, and at the beginning of the month he announced some substitutions to the Players’ 43rd season.

Off the schedule are productions of “Leading Ladies” and “The Mikado.” In their place are “The Dixie Swim Club” and “9 to 5: The Musical.”

“The Dixie Swim Club” will run Sept. 15-Oct. 1. The comedy follows the friendship shared by five women over the course of their lives.

“9 to 5: The Musical” will follow, from Nov. 17-Dec. 3. The Broadway musical, with songs by Dolly Parton, was adapted from the hit movie about three secretaries who seek revenge on their chauvinistic boss.

Orlando Shakes

After learning it will receive less money than hoped through a state-grant program, Orlando Shakespeare Theater has decided to replace “Timon of Athens” with a smallerbudget play, “The Luckiest People.” That new work examines the difficulties middle-aged people face in navigating obligations to spouses, children and aging parents. It will run March 28-April 19, 2018. For more information, go to orlando shakes.org or call 407-447-1700.
