Romeo Wallace has forgiven the person who killed his brother.

“I’m a Christian, I try to practice what I preach, and as hard as it is … I have to or I won’t be able to function,” he said.

Yulon Jasen Wallace was found dead along the shore of Lake Florence at Good Homes Road near Willowwood Street on March 19.

The Orange County Sheriff ’s Office determined the death was a homicide, but the person who killed him still hasn’t been found.

Romeo Wallace and his father Texus Wallace pleaded from the Orange County Sheriff ’s Office on Wednesday afternoon for anyone who had any information about their relative’s death to come forward to help.

Scott Bruinsma, the lead detective on the case, said that Yulon Wallace, 38, died from trauma.

Yulon, called Jasen by his friends and family, loved riding his bicycle.

He always wore his headphones while biking around Good Homes road and Silver Star road, said Romeo Wallace.

“He was a great kid, no violence at all,” he said.

“Very jovial, very outspoken, and we believe someone took advantage of his kindness and slight disability and murdered him.”

Romeo Wallace said that his brother had a learning disability that made him trusting of people.

He and his father believe Yulon Wallace was killed by someone he knew.

“He visited people in the community, he had friends in the community,” Texus Wallace said.

“A stranger would have no reason to kill my son.”

They urged people in the Good Homes neighborhood and in the Pine Hills area to offer information to deputies on the murder, and displayed photos of Yulon Wallace so people would recognize him.

Romeo Wallace then addressed the person who killed his brother,

“Give us some peace,” he said. “We’ve already forgiven you, but for the sake of justice, turn yourself in.”

There is a Crimeline reward of up to $10,000 for information concerning Yulon Wallace’s murder.
