An Orlando tech firm lands Deloitte project
One of the world’s largest digital consulting firms will partner with an Orlando tech company, giving it a chance to expand its market in Europe.
Deloitte Digital GmbH will use software developed by Orlando’s DiSTI Corporation to build easily adjustable prototype designs that can be altered quickly.
“Instead of months, we are talking days,” said Christopher Giordano, vice president of DiSTI’s automotive division.
It’s a way to enable car manufacturers to roll out updates and prototypes quickly, much like mobile phone companies do. DiSTI builds digitally based interactive screens that help train workers and users in various industries.
In the auto industry, the company builds vehicles’ user interfaces, such as digital instruments and the heads up display people see in their cars.
DiSTI’s GL Studio product has helped firms in the aerospace, automotive, medical and training industries teach workers via 3-D-based interfaces. The two companies first met at the Embedded World Exhibition and Conference in Germany early this year.
DiSTI’s work has previously been showcased by companies like Nissan, Jaguar and Lockheed Martin.
