Police: Sudden disappearance of Winter Park nanny suspicious
Winter Park police are searching for a person they think is linked to a missing woman, who they say disappeared “under suspicious circumstances.”
Jennifer Lynn Fulford, 56, was last seen on video at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, leaving a dental office in Canton Avenue in Winter Park.
Officials say she got into her vehicle and drove away. She was last seen shortly before noon Wednesday at a home in the 100 block of Webster Avenue. Winter Park police said the address was the residence where she worked as a nanny. Sgt. Garvin McComie confirmed she arrived at her workplace. In a Facebook post, Fulford’s husband, Robert Fulford, said his wife’s purse was found on the floor of her employer’s home.
Her boss called police after she did not pick up his son, her husband said.
She was supposed to go to Dallas on Thursday to see her granddaughter, who was born Wednesday, her husband said. “She would never disappear like this,” he wrote. A Winter Park police spokesman said the Facebook post was “accurate.”
Jennifer Fulford drives a gray 2015 Hyundai SUV with Florida tag IKZ B52. The vehicle also is missing, police say.
She’s about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with strawberry blonde hair.
The police spokesman said there is no suspect information, but they are following leads, with assistance from other agencies.
Anyone with information about Fulford’s whereabouts is asked to call the Winter Park Police Department at 407-644-1313 or Crimeline at 407-423-8477.
