Man, two other teens held in Seminole home invasion
Carrie Jackson told a 911 operator she didn’t know if she had been shot.
She didn’t feel pain. She cried and gasped between sentences as she described waking up to a noise. She found three or four strangers in her home near Oviedo. She chased them out through the garage. Then one of them fired a gun.
“They shot a gun at me. They shot a gun at me,” Jackson said on a 911 call released by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. “Oh, my God.”
Jackson and her husband woke just after midnight Wednesday to the intruders, who led law enforcement on a chase through woods, said Bob Kealing, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
Tyjijuan Williams, 18, of Sanford was arrested and charged with armed burglary and resisting arrest. A 17-year-old girl and 16year-old boy, both from Deltona, also were charged. The Orlando Sentinel typically does not name juveniles accused of crimes.
Deputies think a fourth person is on the run, Kealing said.
Jackson’s husband, Caine Aronowitz, got his own gun and guarded the house while Jackson called 911. The intruders fled in a white, four-door car, Jackson told the operator.
Oviedo police saw the car driving south on State Road 417 and tried to pull it over, according to a Sheriff’s Office arrest report. The car crashed at the intersection of S.R. 417 and Aloma Avenue.
The occupants ran into a wooded area, where Williams and the teens were arrested, Kealing said.
Deputies used a helicopter to look for them and sent a search team into the woods with a dog.
Deputies encourage anyone with information about a fourth suspect to call the Sheriff’s Office at 407-665-6650 or Crimeline at 800-423-8477. Crimeline tipsters can remain anonymous, and tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
