UCF student accused of LSD sale that put another in hospital

A University of Central Florida student accused of selling drugs out of his dorm room was arrested after another student who took LSD he allegedly sold had to be hospitalized.

Christopher John Corsini, 18, faces charges of LSD trafficking and possession of cocaine, MDMA, THC, cannabis and alprazolam. He was arrested Thursday morning and was released on bail from the Orange County Jail about four hours later, records show.

Police began investigating Nov. 28, when two students told them they took LSD. One needed medical attention and was taken to a hospital, police said. Officers enlisted an informant, who bought five LSD tabs for $40 and some marijuana for $20, they said.

Police got a warrant and searched Corsini’s room, records show. They found 457 grams of what appeared to be marijuana, 4.97 grams of LSD, about .28 grams of cocaine, one pill that appeared to be MDMA, and 25 alprazolam pills, records state.

Officers also found $1,272 in cash and a little less than 20 grams of what they described as “THC wax,” police said.

His roommate told police that he knew Corsini was selling drugs but said he was not involved in the dealing himself, documents states. On an average day, Corsini made five to 10 sales, his roommate told police.

“There were times Corsini would not leave the room for ... several days because of the amount of people coming over to buy drugs,” Detective Jeffrey Panter wrote in his report.

Officers think Corsini worked with Patrick Munoz, an 18-year-old arrested last week who said he was the “biggest drug dealer at UCF,” according to police.

“We believe the two knew each other and engaged in this sort of activity together,” police said in a statement. “The drugs they were dealing were particularly dangerous.”
