Marlie Monserez Bishop Moore, Sr.

Buzz: Capped sensationa­l fouryear career by being voted Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Volleyball, emblematic of the state player of the year for all classes. Monserez is a setter, but she expanded her role do just about everything this season. She compiled 329 kills, 284 digs and 227 assists. That included 24 kills, 13 digs and 8 assists in the Hornets 3-2 loss against Ponte Vedra in the Class 6A state championsh­ip match.

Did you know: Monserez signed with Florida, where her older sister Allie is an accomplish­ed redshirt junior setter for a team that played an NCAA semifinal on Thursday night. They’ll be on the same team for the first time next season.

Baylor Bumford, West Orange, Sr. Buzz: 776 assists, 139 digs, 72 kills for 29-0 state title team. Taylor Head, West Orange, Soph. Buzz: Led state champs in kills (344), digs (245) and ace serves (78). Makala Heidelberg, West Orange, Sr. Buzz: High-flyer had 244 kills (1,000+ for career), 177 digs, and stellar passing. Cierra Jenkins, Lake Highland, Soph. Buzz: Did it all with 831 assists, 245 digs, 125 kills, 27 aces, 52 blocks. Leandra Mangual, Hagerty, Jr. Buzz: Led school’s best-ever team in kills (210) and digs (295). Elli McKissock, The First Academy, Soph. Buzz: Early UF commit regarded as best Libero in her class had 448 digs. Taylor O’Neal, Lake Highland, Sr. Buzz: Led state runners-up team with 228 kills, added 216 digs. Lindsey Pliapol, Spruce Creek, Sr. Buzz: Rebounded from stress fracture to compile 224 kills, 240 digs, 43 aces. Rebekah Rath, Oviedo, Soph. Buzz: Big swing sophomore led Lions in kills (430) and had 35 blocks. Savannah Vach, Oviedo, Jr. Buzz: Setter/hitter had 539 assists, 318 kills, 237 digs, 45 blocks, 35 aces.
