Rosales rolled big numbers all season

Buzz: Rosales tied for the best individual four-game qualifying series at state (888) and made the final four before losing to eventual champion Crystal Singh of Coral Springs Charter in three games. Rosales rolled games of 257, 247, 233 and 227 in bracket play.

Did you know: Rosales was the No. 1 qualifier in the U15 division at the 2017 Junior Gold Championsh­ips in July. That earned her a spot to compete in Team USA Trials in Las Vegas, Jan. 2-7.

All-Area

Alexa Chambers, Circle Christian, Jr.

Buzz: Had school-record 793 series in regular season. Joined sister in state final bracket.

Ainsley Chambers, Circle Christian, Soph.

Buzz: Made final seven at state, bowling a 279 in qualifying and a 258 in bracket play.

Kristyn Burbano, W. Orange, Sr.

Buzz: Averaged 187 in regular season and was No. 4 in qualifying at state tournament.

Alyssa Fodrie, Orange City University, Jr.

Buzz: Bowled a 300 in regular season; qualified fifth at state before losing to the champ. Samantha Ford, Atlantic, Soph.

Buzz: Bowled a 250 in round 1 as the No. 14 qualifier for state tourney bracket play. Sarah Lowther, Crooms, Sr. Buzz: Averaged 189 in regular season and won District 7 title with a 643 series. Sierra Poole, Lake Mary, Fr. Buzz: Averaged 191 in regular season; District 7 runner-up at 613. Shauna Rodgers, Oviedo, Soph. Buzz: Led Seminole County with 198 average and anchored Oviedo to repeat state title.

Amelia Vasquez, Oviedo, Jr.

Buzz: State title team stalwart won the Kegel Invitation­al with games of 245 and 224.

Super Six

1. Oviedo: Lions have won back-toback state championsh­ips and return their entire team. 2. Orange City University: Titans waded through loser’s bracket, including win vs. Circle, for third at state. 3. Circle Christian: District 8 champion Centurions were top five at state for third straight season. 4. Atlantic: Sharks beat OCU for District 3 title and made it to third round at state tourney. 5. Hagerty: Huskies were district runners-up to Oviedo and made top 16 at state. 6. Boone: District 9 runners-up were 24th in the state qualifying.
