Schorr tops swim list for second time
Swimmer of the Year
Katie Schorr, Sr. Montverde Academy
■ Buzz: Schorr, ranked as Florida’s No. 4 senior swim prospect by CollegeSwimming.com, completed her decorated high school career with Class 1A state championships and All-America times in the 50-yard freestyle (22.89 seconds) and 100 free (49.90). Schorr won four individual state titles for Montverde.
■ Did you know: She was also the Sentinel swimmer of the year as a sophomore. Schorr, who signed with Louisville in November, competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the summer of 2016.

1. Lake Highland Prep: Highlanders finished in fifth place in loaded Class 1A state meet. 2. Montverde Academy: Eagles were one spot behind Lake Highland in 1A state standings. 3. Oviedo: Lions finished fourth in 4A after runner-up performance at region meet. 4. Seminole: District 2 champ Seminoles swam to seventh at state. 5. Lake Brantley: Patriots were ninth in 4A; fourth in region behind Oviedo, Seminole. 6. Winter Park: District 3 champ Wildcats were sixth at 4A region, No. 13 at state.
