♦Dogapalooz­a Festival: Guests are invited to bring their well-behaved dogs on leashes to Dogapalooz­a, a dog-centric event in the parking lot, gardens and museum. Activities will include a canine costume contest, obedience demonstrat­ions, a free puppy photo experience along with food trucks and craft beer. Proceeds benefit the Halifax Humane Society, Inc. and Great Dawg Rescue. Pet food donations will be collected for Sophie’s Circle Dog Rescue. ♦Christmas tree swap: The St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Tree Advisory Committee's 14th annual “Don’t Curb It ... S.W.A.P. It!” program is part of the city’s efforts to increase recycling awareness and enhance the urban forest. St. Cloud residents can bring their undecorate­d, live Christmas trees to the recycling drop-off location and swap them for new containeri­zed trees (one per household) that can be planted in their yards.
