Teen hospitalized after dock crash

A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to an Orlando hospital Sunday afternoon after crashing a personal watercraft into a dock at Lake Whitney, a private community in Windermere, the Orange County Sheriff ’s Office said. “We received a call about 3:09 p.m. regarding a [watercraft] crash,” Orange sheriff ’s Capt. Carlos Torres said. “At this point, we don’t really know what the cause is.” The boy was airlifted by helicopter with lifethreatening injuries to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
