The Florida Gators are entering the SEC Tournament as a No. 3 seed and will get time to rest this week.

The Gators will take on the winner of No. 6 Arkansas’ matchup against either No. 11 South Carolina or No. 14 Ole Miss. Tipoff will be at 8:30 p.m. and the game will air on the SEC Network.

Auburn is the No. 1 seed, Tennessee is the No. 2 seed and Kentucky is the No. 4 seed. The top four teams all get byes during the first two rounds.

The SEC title game will be played Sunday at noon and will air on ESPN. Wednesday, whenever we play. … We’re all just trying to play our parts.”

The Hurricanes, who by securing the No. 3 seed surpassed preseason projections that had them picked to finish fourth in the ACC, will take on either No. 11 seed Syracuse, No. 14 seed Wake Forest or No. 6 seed North Carolina.

Syracuse will take on Wake Forest on Tuesday at 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to face North Carolina on Wednesday.

The winner of that Wednesday game will be Miami’s opponent Thursday.

Locking up the No. 3 seed was a bit of a coup for the Hurricanes, who struggled early in conference play and closed out the regular season without one of their top players, Bruce Brown, who is recovering from a foot injury.

But Miami finished the regular season with four consecutive wins, including a victory over North Carolina last Wednesday.

The championship game will be played Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN.
