Cannabis group horticulture of Canada,

at 603 Hermit Smith Road, Apopka, from owner Rodney C. Hogshead for $1.8 million, records show.
“The greenhouse business will provide Future Farm with cash flow while serving as a major building block for the company as it prepares to position itself in the emerging Florida cannabis market, estimated to climb to $1.6 billion in medical cannabis sales by 2020,” said a firm spokesperson.
Near-term plans call for the continued focus on ornamental plants with upgrades of the nursery’s computers, software, phone system, accounting, inventory management and order tracking systems. In addition, it expects to launch online ordering.
An affiliate of Future Farm recently announced a letter of intent to purchase a 15-acre property in Redland. 235 proposals and selected the NeoCity project and 10 others based on the potential return on investment, according to officials. NeoCity is a 109,000-square-foot, two-story research and development facility. Osceola County is partnering with the nonprofit Bridging the Innovation Development Gap on the project.
