The most-asked Walt Disney World-related question lately has been “What are the dates for the 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival?”

Never mind that we just sprang forward and we’re midstream in the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Folks have fall and wine on their minds. But now we have an answer. The Food & Wine fest will start Aug. 30 and run daily through on Nov. 12, according to the official Disney Parks Blog.

That’s 75 days, the same length as last year. It will also be the second consecutive year that the event gets its start in August, a full week before the Labor Day holiday weekend. As recently as 2015, the festival began in late September.

There will be 94 days between Flower & Garden-ing and Food & Wine-ing.

Disney revealed little in the way of details about this year’s food fest, which will mark its 23rd year. But the blog post indicates there will be the usual Eat to the Beat concerts, appearances by celebrity chefs, dining packages and “other fun.”

The festival is included in regular Epcot admission. fraud as part of a plea agreement, according to Southern District of California federal-court records.

He fraudulently loaded $275,000 on gift cards beginning in 2015, according to a probable cause statement from FBI special agent Joyce Deniz that was in the court file.

“Gomes further admitted that he began by embezzling approximately $40 and realized that nothing happened to him,” the probable-cause statement said. “He immediately thereafter began loading the limit amount of $1,000 onto multiple gift cards while working on the ship.”

Gomes admitted he used some of the gift cards to take his family on a two-week vacation to Orlando in 2017 that cost more than $35,000, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

He was arrested in San Diego in October when the cruise ship docked.

A new Walt Disney World event is getting glowing previews. The resort is adding an after-hours, afterdark dance party — dubbed Disney H20 Glow Nights — this summer at Typhoon Lagoon water park.

Beginning June 21, lighting effects will illuminate the water park, which will feature “Toy Story” characters such as Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie in beachparty mode. Disney says the event was inspired by the animated Pixar short “Partysaurus Rex.”

The evening will include party games, character interactions and dancing on the beach. All of the water park’s attractions will be operating during Glow Nights, according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.

The event is tied to Disney World’s Incredible Summer promotion, which will include Pixar properties in all four theme parks, including an Incrediblesled takeover of Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.

Glow Nights will held on Thursdays and Saturdays between June 21 and Aug. 11. Operation hours will be 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The event will require a separate ticket from regular daytime admission. The cost will be $55 ($50 for ages 3-9). Tickets for Disney H20 Glow Nights will go on sale March 19.
