Little named all-star game MVP

Two area players, Orlando Christian Prep and

of Montverde Academy, were the leading scorers in Wednesday night’s McDonald’s All-American Game in Atlanta.

Little, a 6-foot-7 North Carolina recruit, scored 28 points to lead the West to a 131-128 come-from-behind victory over the East. He was named Most Valuable Player in a game that showcased most of the nation’s toprated Class of 2018 basketball prospects.

Little made 12-of-17 field goal shots and also grabbed five rebounds. His key plays late included a 3-point shot and an alley-oop pass for a dunk by West teammate

“I showed energy. I showed excitement,” Little said after the nationally televised game.

Cornerston­e Charter Academy is donating all ticket sales and concession­s proceeds from its softball games on Friday to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which benefits Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.
