Fishing

- FRESHWATER: SALTWATER: Note:

Try the Wekiva River for bass, warmouth and bluegills. Work small diving plugs, Bass Assassin lures and Senko near floating vegetation in the river. Try soft plastic jerkbaits and swimbaits near bridges, docks and creek mouths. Use crickets and redworms just off the banks for warmouth and bluegills.

To stay out of the wind, try the Rinker Canal in the Indian River for black drum and redfish along with a few snook, tarpon and trout. Use live shrimp and Berkley Gulp shrimp near points and drop-offs for red and black drum. Try soft plastic jerkbaits under mangroves for snook. Swimbaits work best for trout and tarpon.
