Lake Mary stretches a streak

Lake Mary extended its baseball win streak to 15 in a row by avenging a loss against the area’s top-ranked team on Tuesday night.

The host Rams (17-2), ranked No. 2 in the Sentinel Super Six, scored six runs over the first two innings and rolled from there to an 11-3 win over No. 1-ranked Hagerty (17-4).

The teams combined for 11 hits and 11 errors on the night. Hagerty rallied to win the first meeting 7-6 on Feb. 22.

“We want to try and keep the momentum going heading into the playoffs,” Lake Mary coach said. “We’re always preaching to defend your territory and your home, so being able to win here means a lot.”
