Fitch gives A+ rating to Orlando Health

received an A+ from Fitch Ratings on nearly $700 million in revenue bonds that have been issued by Orange County Health Facilities Authority, Orlando Health Obligated Group and South Lake Hospital District on behalf of Orlando Health. That’s an upgrade from an A rating reflecting “the growth of OH’s unrestrict­ed liquidity and sustaining the improved operating performanc­e over the last four audited years,” according to the ratings company.

Earlier this year, the health system received an A2 from Moody’s Investors Services for $769 million in outstandin­g debt.

Moody’s also gave an A2 to Orlando Health’s $480 million taxable bonds. The health system offered the bonds, on behalf of Orlando Health and Orlando Health Central, earlier this year.
