-

OCALA — Authorities say that a 29-year-old Ocala man who was angry that a woman refused to have sex with him was arrested Sunday. According to a Marion County Sheriff's Office arrest report for Shannon G. Farris, the 36-year-old woman, who was interviewed at a local hospital, said he came home from work and tried to have sex with her. When she told him no, they argued. The victim said Farris grabbed her by the throat, pushed her against a wall and began choking her. She said she fell and he kicked her repeatedly in the stomach. She said he tied her up in a chair and punched her in the face. She said he cut her forearms, believing that when she was found by law enforcement officials, they would think she had committed suicide, the report states. The woman said she was knocked unconscious and later woke up in the yard. She said she ran to a home and called 911.
