Perry warns fans against scammers:

Tyler Perry is warning fans not to get scammed. The actor, comedian and director in a Facebook video says he’s not giving away anything. The 48-year-old directed a strong comment at whoever was making the posts, saying: “Stop it, devil.” Perry did not point to anything specific but says there are as many as 30 fake promotions daily that his team shuts down.

Wilson back in court:

Rebel Wilson has applied to Australia’s highest court to increase the comic actress’s payout from a defamation case against a magazine publisher. The 38year-old, best known for parts in the “Pitch Perfect” movies, in September was awarded an Australian record $3.5 million in damages. But three judges on the Court of Appeal last month upheld an appeal by publishing company Bauer and slashed Wilson’s payout to $454,000. Wilson lodged an applicatio­n to the High Court Wednesday to restore the ruling.

RoboCop returns:

RoboCop is coming back. Again. MGM is developing the sequel “RoboCop Returns” with “District 9” and “Elysium” filmmaker Neill Blomkamp directing. The film will be a sequel to Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 original about a cyborg police officer in a crime-ridden Detroit. It’s to be based on a never-made spec script by the 1987 film’s writers, Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner. Two other sequels followed, in 1990 and 1993.
