Looking for new restaurant options?

Don’t miss these eateries that recently came to Central Florida.

We’re a little past the halfway point of 2018. Here are a few of Central Florida’s newest restaurants you might have missed.

Bites & Bubbles

The wine and champagne are back in stock at 912 N. Mills Ave. in Orlando. The space, which has transformed from wine bar to sandwich shop to coffee cafe during the past three years, has returned to its roots — sort of.

Bites & Bubbles, a new concept by restaurateurs Eddie Nickell and Nick Olivieri, features a seafood-heavy small-plates menu that changes often. Set in Orlando’s Mills 50 neighborhood, the restaurant itself has undergone a renovation that has given it a romantic ambiance.

Mills Ave., Orlando; 407-270-5085; Bites Bubbles.com Caro-Bama BBQ Flavors and barbecue techniques from the Carolinas and Alabama meld for some tasty barbecue at this food truck — and its new restaurant in the North Quarter Market in downtown Orlando. The stall sandwiches its barbecue and pairs it with sides such as Mama’s coleslaw, creamy corn casserole, barbecue baked beans and good ol’ mac and cheese.

Sticky Rice

Diners are going to want to purchase a lot of dishes at Sticky Rice — and that’s doable with the restaurant’s reasonable prices for Laotian street food small plates. The sticky rice is a utensil, side dish and accompaniment. Snag a bite of the chargrilled chicken wings ($4.50) with a nibble of rice. Or dunk a rice ball into a dip duo ($2) of sweet chili paste and lime chili sauce. Prepare to get handsy with your meal. Utensils are discouraged, and honestly, it’s more fun to grab some nose-drainingly hot papaya salad (it also comes in mild) with a chewy chunk of lemongrass beef jerky.

Tartine

French and Southern cuisines couple for some delicious bites at Tartine. The wine bar took over the Croissant Gourmet location in College Park. Croissant Gourmet fans, never fear, the Winter Park eatery remains open.

The food and drink menu changes often, so there is always something new to try. Don’t miss out on the varieties of its namesake, the tartine, an open-faced sandwich-like dish.

Urban Hibachi Sushi & Grill

Urban Hibachi Sushi & Grill applies an elegant touch to its modern Japanese fare at all three of its locations, which practice teppanyaki cooking, or grilling on a flat-top griddle. The restaurant’s elegant sushi menu is something to peruse.
