Disney: ‘Lion King’ dinner packages set

-

Walt Disney World is creating dinner packages tied to its popular “Festival of the Lion King” show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. There are two tiers of the offer, both of which include a meal at the park’s Tiffins restaurant and reserved VIP seating to the production.

The Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Packages began Friday.

They will be available through Nov. 21, according to the official Disney Parks Blog.

The Tier I version of the package also includes a safari tour (with dedicated guide) through the park’s African outback. It costs $99 ($49 for ages 3 to 9). Tier II — without the safari — costs $74 ($29 for ages 3 to 9).

The deal includes lunch or dinner at Tiffins, the eatery in the Discovery Island section of the park right before entering Pandora — the World of Avatar. Participants will get a three-course meal with one appetizer, one entree, one dessert and choice of wine, beer or nonalcoholic beverage.

The “Festival of the Lion King” show includes live performances, including singing, dancing, fire twirling, gymnastics and an aerial act inspired by Disney’s 1994 classic film “The Lion King.”

Disney suggests booking in advance; space is limited. Reservations can be made at disneyworld.com or by calling 407-939-3463.
