Drake Bell headlines onePULSE benefit

- Kate Santich

TV actor and musician Drake Bell will headline a benefit concert in Orlando on Tuesday night for the onePULSE Foundation.

He’s best known for starring roles on Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” and “Drake & Josh” as well as his popmusic career. Tuesday’s concert will be at the Abbey, 100 S. Eola Drive in Orlando, and all net proceeds will benefit the charity. The onePULSE Foundation was created by Pulse nightclub owner Barbara Poma to establish a memorial and museum honoring the 49 people killed there in a June 2016 attack.

“Last time I was in Orlando for a show, we happened to drive by Pulse,” Bell says. “We turned around to pay our respects. Seeing it in person really hit me hard and I thought, ‘How can we help? What can we do?’ ”

Bell promises an “intimate” and acoustic set of his hits and favorite songs. The evening’s special guest is fellow Nickelodeon actor and singer Kira Kosarin.

General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $30 on the day of the event and at the door. VIP meet-and-greet tickets are $100 in advance and only 12 will be sold. Arrival time for the VIP event is 7 p.m., and ticket holders will be escorted to the reception area. Doors also open at 7, and the show starts at 8 p.m. Valet parking is available.
