Shaquem Griffin, now with the Seattle Seahawks, is featured in a new Nike ad voiced by Colin Kaepernick.

Former UCF star Shaquem Griffin is featured in a new Nike ad voiced by Colin Kaepernick that focuses on overcoming adversity and achieving the biggest milestones.

Griffin rose to national fame by overcoming the amputation of his left hand at age 4. He earned 2016 American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors, led UCF to a 13-0 season and became the first one-handed athlete to get selected in the NFL Draft.

The Seahawks announced Wednesday afternoon Griffin will start Seattle’s season opener on Sunday.

During the ad titled “Dream Crazy,” Kaepernick refers to numerous athletes who have overcome adversity to achieve success.

Midway through, clips of Griffin making plays at UCF flash on the screen as Kaepernick says, “If you have only one hand, don’t just watch football. Play. At the highest level.”

Griffin is featured right after another Orlando star athlete.

Orlando Pride forward and U.S. women’s national-team captain Alex Morgan is shown scoring a goal and celebrating with U.S. teammate Megan Rapinoe as Kaepernick says, “When they talk about the greatest team in the history of the sport, make sure it’s your team.”
