Walt Disney World food and wine event to return

- By Lauren Delgado

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort will again showcase the fare from its restaurants at the Food & Wine Classic.

Guests can nab small bites and sips at more than 90 stations on the resort’s causeway on Oct. 26-27 from 5:30-9 p.m. The Classic also features some special offerings, from educational seminars led by the resort’s food and beverage team to the Sunday Bubbles Brunch at Il Mulino New York Trattoria on Oct. 27.

Tickets to The Classic’s causeway tasting fun start at $119.55 per person. Seminar pricing ranges from $47.10-$80.04, while the Sunday Bubbles Brunch is $88.50 per person. Purchase tickets at SwanDolphin FoodAndWineClassic.com.

Here are a few things to know about the Classic, whether you’re a newbie or a pro. rib-eye from Shula’s Steak House and handcrafted bacon from Cib’s Smoke House, a barbecue-centric booth led by resort’s executive chef Robert Ciborowski.

The Classic’s beer garden requires an additional fee to enter. You can pair a Berliner doner kebab (veal in a yogurt sauce on flatbread) and jager schnitzel (a breaded pork cutlet) with the beer.

It will be your ticket into the Bubbles Lounge, a speakeasy-esque area with champagne and sparkling wine — along with bites to pair.

The Pig & The Poke, which is inspired by the Pacific, has been added to the Classic’s four other sections (Chinatown, Carnival Corner, the Beer Garden, and the Bubble Lounge). Guests can enjoy traditional earth-baked Kalua pork, tuna poke (which features a very tasty avocado relish), and shaved ice on the resort’s private beach.

Find a Funfetti fried Oreo at Carnival Corner, dynamite rock Shrimp from Todd English’s bluezoo, and Vietnamese lemongrass meatballs from the Cabana Bar and Beach Club.
