‘Casey Anthony: Her Friends Speak’ debuts in December
A special originally announced as “Casey Anthony” has become “Casey Anthony: Her Friends Speak.”
The documentary about one of Orlando’s most-famous stories will debut at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, on cable network Reelz.
The network said the documentary special “offers unprecedented access to Anthony’s inner circle. Through intimate interviews and an exclusive reunion, Anthony’s friends come together to reminisce about the good times, chronicle the downfall of one of their closest confidantes and face their worst fears as a group, giving viewers a front-row seat to what really happened behind the scenes.”
In 2011, Anthony was acquitted of murder in the 2008 disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Giving separate interviews in the program are Jonathan Daly, Clint House, Cameron Campana and Bobby Williams.
They also sit at a round table to discuss their relationship with Anthony and share their thoughts about the story.
Reelz said the program lets viewers “witness a tight-knit group of friends finally finding closure together.”
George and Cindy Anthony, Casey’s parents, gave an interview to “The Dr. Oz Show” that aired last week. Dr. Mehmet Oz cited a People magazine report that Anthony is trying to have a child.
“Knowing now that she could potentially be a mom again, I hope she does better this time around than what she did last time,” George Anthony said. It is one of the most memorable quotes in the long saga that continues to fascinate millions.
Reelz announced other programming on Tuesday. Coming up:
“Murder Made Me Famous” will present “D.C. Snipers” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.
“Paul Walker: Behind Closed Doors” debuts at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.
